Thunder stormed, the moon lit, and things fell apart

As October 3rd's rain cleared, over 300 people settled in to watch Things Fall Apart, presented by Blackcurrant Productions and Laluque Atelier Gallery in Scotiabank Nuit Blanche.

Fallen petals and remnants of root were fixed in resin and draped in silver chains in Taibe Palacios' lovely Close (right, Taibe's photo), pulled teeth fell uneasily into pearly spoons, fast food dripped from the ceiling, a puppet homicide attempt failed, and a repaired chair was almost broken again.

Several premiere film screenings garnered warm applause for dancers who stretched and bent truth and memory, a sperm-laden satellite that exploded, a goat-girl who passed out, a roof that caved in, and a concept of space that went washing inkily away.

2010!
