We're building A Doll's House

On Friday December 4, 2009 at 7:00 pm, Blackcurrant Productions presents a workshop reading of a new translation of the Henrik Ibsen play.

First published on December 4, 1879, A Doll's House is often presented as a historic feminist study of Nora Helmer, a woman who abandons her husband and children, with the famous "door slam heard round the world."

Through casting, directorial, and translation choices, this feminist classic is en route to becoming a more modern-day story in which race, gender, and class all intertwine.

On December 4, come on out to Bread & Circus (299 Augusta Ave., Toronto) to support and comment on our no-sets, no-props construction! Tickets are available for $10 from http://www.breadandcircus.ca/ or at the door.

Tusen takk to the Royal Norwegian Embassy for their support!
